Burbank Gastric Sleeve Surgery
One of the most requested bariatric surgeries is the gastric sleeve. Also called laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, gastric sleeve surgery is an effective procedure to reduce the size of the stomach and impact hormonal changes to stimulate improved metabolism. The sleeve surgery is performed through small incisions in the abdomen with laparoscopic instruments. The stomach is stapled to create a smaller, elongated stomach, shaped like a banana.
